MSP Pie is operated by Left Leads Pty Ltd (ABN 27 653 931 107), trading as MSP Pie. These terms apply when you use msppie.com and when you submit a quote request.

If you're a provider with an account, the terms for providers (opens in a new tab) also apply to you.

Submitting a quote request

By submitting a quote request, you agree that:

  1. Your contact details will be shared with the providers we match you to for this request.
  2. We introduce your request to up to three providers.
  3. There's no charge to you for using MSP Pie's matching service.
  4. You're making the request for a business, and you have authority to do so on behalf of that business.

Submitting the form is your consent for those providers to contact you about your request. That's the basis on which we share your details with them.

Withdrawing your enquiry

Withdraw at any time at /contact (opens in a new tab): choose "Withdraw my enquiry."

Once we receive it, we stop sharing your enquiry with further providers and stop contacting you about it. A provider you've already been introduced to keeps the details already sent to them; contact them directly if you no longer want to proceed with that introduction.

Our role

We introduce businesses to IT providers. That's the whole of our service.

We don't employ, contract, partner with, supervise or control any provider. We don't set their prices or scope their work. We're not a party to any agreement you enter into with a provider, and we're not responsible for the services a provider delivers, the quality of their work, their conduct, or anything they tell you.

Any engagement is between you and the provider. Read what they give you and satisfy yourself before you sign anything.

What we check and what we don't

Our directory lists Australian IT providers we've found through our own research. Being listed doesn't mean a business has been assessed, endorsed or recommended by us, and it doesn't mean we've been in contact with them. Most listed businesses have never been contacted by us.

Before a provider is able to receive leads, they go through our sales process and sign an agreement with us. As part of that we check they're a legitimate, operating business.

We do not verify:

  • professional qualifications, certifications or partner statuses;
  • insurance;
  • technical competence, capacity or suitability for your particular requirements;
  • anything a provider tells you directly.

Do your own due diligence before engaging anyone. Ask for references, check insurance, and confirm they can do what you need.

If something goes wrong with a provider

We're not a party to your agreement with a provider, so we can't resolve a dispute between you. If you tell us about a problem we may pass it on to the provider and it may affect whether they stay on the platform, but we're not a decision-maker and we can't award a remedy.

For a dispute about work performed, contact the provider first. If that doesn't resolve it, Consumer Affairs Victoria or your state's equivalent consumer body may be able to help, or you can get your own legal advice.

Reviews

Reviews on MSP Pie are written by users, not by us. We moderate them, but we don't independently verify the events described and a review is the opinion of the person who wrote it.

If you submit a review, it must be your own genuine experience, honest, and not misleading. You must not submit a review of a business you own, work for, or are connected with, and you must not accept anything in exchange for a review.

Cost guides and other content

Our cost guides, ranking explanations and other editorial content are general information only. They're not a quote, and they're not financial, legal, technical or other professional advice.

Pricing varies with scope, location, provider and time. Nothing on this site is an offer, and no figure we publish binds any provider.

We take care with our content but don't warrant it's accurate, complete or current. Get advice specific to your situation before acting on it.

Using the site

You must not:

  • extract, scrape, mine or systematically copy any part of the directory or our content, by any means, including automated ones;
  • use our content for a competing directory, database or commercial product;
  • contact listed businesses using details obtained from this site for marketing purposes;
  • interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site;
  • upload malicious code, or anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing;
  • misrepresent who you are or submit a quote request you don't intend to act on.

We may suspend or block access if you breach these terms, break the law, or where we reasonably need to protect users, the platform or ourselves. We'll give notice where it's reasonable to do so; where the need is urgent, we may act first and tell you after.

Intellectual property

We own or license the MSP Pie platform, brand and content. You may view and use it for your own business purposes. You may not copy, republish or commercialise it.

Content you submit stays yours. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce and promote it in connection with operating MSP Pie. You can end that licence by asking us to remove the content, although cached and archival copies may persist for a period.

You warrant that anything you submit is yours to submit and doesn't infringe anyone's rights.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that they'll be provided with due care and skill and within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.

Liability

Our service is the introduction. It doesn't include the work performed by any provider.

To the extent the law allows, and other than for the consumer guarantees above:

  1. Where we're liable for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee in relation to services not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
  2. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity.

We're not liable for loss arising from a provider's acts or omissions, from your decision to engage or not engage a provider, or from your reliance on our editorial content.

Changes to these terms

This version applies from the date shown at the top of this page and replaces all earlier versions.

We may update these terms. The current version and its date are always published here. Material changes take effect 30 days after we publish them, and don't apply retrospectively to a quote request you've already submitted.

General

These terms, together with our privacy policy and reviews policy, are the whole agreement between us about your use of MSP Pie.

If any part is unenforceable, it's severed and the rest continues.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
